Wall Notes · pinned FAQ
Questions clients ask before booking a bay.
Ten answers, written in August 2026. If yours is not here, email [email protected].
These notes live on the west wall beside the proof pins — questions that recur in first calls. Answers are plain language, not contract text. Signed quotes and packing lists prevail when numbers or dates differ.
Do you guarantee campaign results or rankings?
No. We describe methods — interviews, narrative spines, channel packs, measurement maps — and file deliverables accordingly. Search rankings, conversion rates, and revenue depend on product, market, media spend, and timing we do not control. Our footer states plainly: methods described, outcomes not promised. We will not sign performance guarantees tied to SEO or ROAS. If you need that certainty, you need a different kind of partner.
What is the smallest engagement you accept?
The proof session is one day: audit live claims, map proof gaps, deliver a red-line report. Bay sprints are the next step up — a fortnight in BAY 01 through BAY 03. We do not take single-hour logo tagline requests; the bay overhead makes small work uneconomical for both sides. If your need is truly minimal, we may refer you to a freelance copywriter and stay available for a later sprint.
Do you buy media or run ads?
No. BAY 03 specifies channel needs, formats, and sequencing. Your media agency or in-house team executes buys. We can brief partners and review copy they produce from our pack — within the revision rounds on your crate list. Keeping media separate prevents us from recommending spend to fix narrative problems that should be fixed in BAY 02 first.
How many revision rounds are included?
Listed on your packing list at kick-off. Campaign crates typically include two narrative rounds and two production rounds unless quoted otherwise. Rounds are milestone-based, not hourly. A round that reopens the spine after production started counts as a new bay booking. We are strict because unlimited revision is how campaigns miss launch dates without anyone noticing until the ads go live.
Can you work with our existing agency?
Yes — often. We file channel packs and production specs your agency can execute. We join kick-off calls when helpful and stay off territorial email threads when not. The crate number becomes the shared reference. Conflicts usually appear when two parties both claim strategy without a written spine; we ask for a single owner on your side.
Do you handle Mandarin or Malay copy?
We write bilingual work from the spine, not as afterthought translation. Mandarin and Malay copy may be produced in-house or with vetted partners depending on register and legal requirements. BAY 02 flags carry-over issues early. You remain responsible for regulatory clearance in each language; we coordinate with your legal team and file aligned versions under one accession number.
Where are files stored and for how long?
Active projects live on encrypted storage in Singapore-region infrastructure. Links expire after thirty days unless renewed. We retain archives twelve months by default for stewardship and dispute resolution. Deletion requests are handled under our Privacy Policy. You should copy deliverables into your asset system at close-out — we are a studio, not your DAM.
How do visits to Lock Road work?
By appointment only — no walk-in counter. Email or call to schedule. Read Gatehouse for courtyard access, parking, and what to bring to a first meeting. First visits usually tour the hangar and proof wall, then sit at the production table with your brief. Allow ninety minutes. We do not run pitch theatre with projector slides unless you explicitly request it.
What industries do you refuse?
We decline work that requires deceptive claims, unlicensed financial promises, or political campaigning. We also decline projects where proof is knowingly false — we will say so in the proof session rather than polish fiction. Otherwise we work across hospitality, industrial, fintech, education, and cultural sectors visible in our anonymised Catalogue.
How do we start?
Email [email protected] with your timeline, audience, and what is already live. Attach nothing confidential on first contact if you prefer — a URL is enough. We respond within two working days with a fitting recommendation and whether bay time exists in your window. Phone +65 6690 3847 if email is slow. Once scope is agreed, you receive a packing list before work opens.
What happens after we sign?
You receive a packing list with bay days, revision rounds, and close-out deliverables. A crate number is assigned before BAY 01 opens. Kick-off is usually a ninety-minute session at the production table or on video — stakeholders, existing proof, and channel arguments on the table, not in email. We file notes within forty-eight hours and schedule the next bay before anyone leaves.
Still deciding? Read Fittings for engagement shapes, Crate for default deliverables, and Gatehouse for visit logistics. We update these notes when regulations or studio hours change — last reviewed 14 August 2026.
Pricing questions intentionally have no number here. Scope drives fees — bay days, production volume, languages, compliance columns. We quote after a thirty-minute scoping read, not from a rate card on this website. Questions about NDAs are common — we sign mutual NDAs for enterprise clients before sensitive uploads. Template NDAs are available after first email contact. Procurement portals may request vendor fields we complete on invoices — email hello with your PO template and finance replies within three working days.
